How to use web browsing in Juma to access real-time information from the internet without leaving the app

Web browsing is a built-in feature that lets Juma search the internet in real time to get you current, up-to-date information. This is useful for research, fact-checking, and getting recent data without leaving the app.

You can toggle web browsing on and off by clicking on Tools in the chat input field and selecting the web browsing toggle.

Keep in mind that even if you keep web browsing always on, Juma usually figures out when it needs to search the web based on what you ask. For example, if you ask about the top B2B marketing trends in 2025, the app knows it needs to search the web to find the most recent information.

How web browsing works

When web browsing activates, you'll see a "searching the web" indicator. Once the search is complete, Juma will give you a response with source links. You can click through to see where the information came from.

You can also ask follow-up questions using what was just found, like "which of these trends would work best for a marketing agency with 30 people?"

When web browsing activates

Web browsing typically kicks in for:

  • Current events
  • Real-time data
  • Recent developments
  • Fact-checking

It gets triggered by phrases like "scrape this page" (with a URL added), "search the web," or "browse the web for XYZ."

If web browsing doesn't activate when you think it should, just add "browse the web" to your prompt and it will definitely search.

Best practices for web browsing

Be specific in your questions. The more detail you provide, the better the search results.

Mention the timeframe. If you need current data, specify when you're looking for information from (for example, "in 2025" or "this quarter").

Break down complex topics. For complicated questions, consider splitting them into smaller, more specific questions.

Check the sources. Always review the source links to make sure the information is reliable and relevant.
